CSI7647 Geometric Modeling
This course serves as an introduction to geometric modeling. The course covers a broad base of fundamentally important techniques for curve and surface representations in computer-aided modeling with a focus on how the techniques can be used in design. In achieving a balance between mathematical rigor and broad applicability, the course shows how theoretical properties can be harnessed to drive practical algorithms and how a somewhat more abstract treatment can occasionally provide unifying elegance and implementational advantages.
