Email Communication

Please make sure already now to use an email account that allows world-wide web-based email access. You will need email not only to organize your stay in Uppsala, but also once you get there for your coursework aso.

Please check your email at least once a day and respond to all email requests in a timely manner (i.e., at the same day, if possible). Organizing your stay abroad involves several strict and tight deadlines.

Please read all email you receive carefully and compose your own emails in a comprehensive manner. To be effective, email communication across time zones requires utmost attention and discipline! If an email is not clear to you, please ask immediately Prof. Bernd Burgstaller.

Visa Application

Uppsala University will send you an official acceptance letter for your student exchange. You need this letter for your visa application. You are asked to apply for your visa on the day you receive the acceptance letter. It is important not to loose time on the visa application because many students are applying and visa applications tend to be processed FCFS.

Please read the requirements for visa applications to Sweden already before reception of the formal acceptance letter!
